I love my cat,
but he is black with very bright eyes, and opening my eyes at night just to see a cat-shaped silhouette staring at me freaks me out.
Luckily his purr box turns on right when he sees my eyes open, so I’m quickly reminded that yes, I do own a very weird cat that has bonded with me just as much as I’ve bonded with him, and no, he’s not trying to curse me.
